RULES, CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND JUDGING

Nominations for 100 outstanding alumni are welcomed from January to the closing date of the year .
1. Entries will need to highlight demonstrable and exceptional achievements/outcomes.
2. Awards can be made to an individual or a team.
3. Individuals or teams can be nominated for more than one category.
4. Self nomination is not permitted.
5. There is no limit to the number of nominations you can submit.
6. Nominations will be submitted on the official entry form, downloadable from the website. They may be accompanied by reasonable supporting material supplied to St. Michael’s College, office of the alumni. This material will not be returned unless specifically requested and accompanied by clear return details.
7. The deadline for receipt of entries for 2014 Award is March. No liability for entries lost or delayed will be accepted. Proof of postage is not a guarantee of receipt and entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
8. Every effort will be made to safeguard all material submitted but no responsibility can be taken for loss or damage.
9. The organizers reserve the right to contact nominated entrants to validate entry information.
10. The judges reserve the right to move an entry to a different category if they feel it would benefit the entry.
11. The judges reserve the right to make a discretionary award to any entry which they feel has demonstrated exceptional achievements/outcomes but which has not otherwise won one of the main category awards.
12. The school reserves the right to publicize the results of the awards before or after the announcement of the winners, and publicize entries in press releases and case studies. It is a condition of entry that participants will co-operate with the media.
13. Any relationship to the judges must be identified on submission of entry to the enterprise awards.
14. The organizers will, within the scope of these rules, treat all submissions as given in confidence, but responsibility cannot be accepted for any failure of confidentiality.
15. There can be no appeal against the decisions of the judges and these decisions must be accepted as final in respect of all matters concerning the enterprise awards including the interpretation of the rules and conditions of entry.
16. No correspondence will be entered into.
17. The winning entries will be announced during the Feast of Immaculate Conception, every 8th of December, all finalists will be notified and invited . Awarding will be done during the Alumni Grand Homecoming or as posted.
